CLEVELAND (AP) -Shawn Marion dropped in a baseline floater with 1.1 seconds left for his only field goal and the Phoenix Suns burned Cleveland with a season-high 17 3-pointers in a 110-108 over the Cavaliers on Friday night.
Marion was 0-for-3 from the floor before he took a pass in the corner, dribbled past a defender, and as LeBron James came toward him, arched in his shot on the run to put the Suns ahead.
Raja Bell scored 27 points, Steve Nash had 26 – 21 on 3-pointers – and Amare Stoudemire 22 as the Suns improved to 17-2 against Eastern Conference teams. Phoenix went 17-of-33 on 3-pointers.
James scored 36 points, Larry Hughes added 25 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas 21 for Cleveland.
Celtics 87, Timberwolves 86
BOSTON (AP) – Kendrick Perkins scored on a putback with 16.6 seconds left, and Kevin Garnett poked the ball away from Sebastian Telfair as time expired to give Boston the win.
In the first matchup between Garnett and the handful of ex-Celtics traded to Minnesota for him, Boston struggled to put away the team with the worst record in the NBA.
Perkins scored 21 points, Paul Pierce had 19 points and eight assists and Garnett had 10 points and 16 rebounds for Boston.
Telfair scored 18 points, and fellow ex-Celtics Al Jefferson and Ryan Gomes had 15 and 13, respectively.
Pistons 101, Magic 93
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) – Richard Hamilton scored 32 points and Rasheed Wallace had 13 of his 15 in the first quarter as Detroit built a big lead and coasted past Orlando.
The Central Divison-leading Pistons have won two straight since dropping a season-high three in a row.
Dwight Howard had 22 points and 14 rebounds and Hedo Turkoglu scored 23 for the Southeast Division-leading Magic, who had won three straight.
Hamilton scoring 14 of Detroit’s 29 points in the second quarter, helping the Pistons score a season-high 68 points in the first half.
Detroit’s Chauncey Billups had 21 points and six assists.
Hornets 111, Clippers 92
NEW ORLEANS (AP) – Peja Stojakovic hit six 3-pointers and scored 26 points and the Hornets won their seventh straight game.
David West had 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Tyson Chandler had 11 points and 13 rebounds. Chris Paul added 14 assists for New Orleans, which has won 15 of 17 games.
Corey Maggette led Los Angeles with 24 points, while Cuttino Mobley added 20 and Sam Cassell 16. Chris Kaman had 14 rebounds for the Clippers (13-26), who have lost two of three contests.
Mavericks 112, Lakers 105
DALLAS (AP) – Josh Howard had 26 points and played tough defense on Kobe Bryant during a game-changing third quarter, and Dallas then held off a furious finish by Bryant.
Bryant scored 14 of the Lakers’ final 16 points, including the last 10. He had 40 points in the game and went 17-of-21 from the foul line, approaching career highs in both categories.
His barrage single-handedly got Los Angeles within five points twice in the final minutes after trailing by 17 after three quarters.
Dirk Nowitzki matched Howard’s 26 points. Both had 10 rebounds, too, as Dallas won for the 10th time in 12 games.
Rockets 89, Trail Blazers 79
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Tracy McGrady had 15 points, Carl Landry added 12 points and eight rebounds and Houston snapped Portland’s 12-game home winning streak.
Brandon Roy had 16 of his 23 points in the first half for the Blazers, who made just seven of 30 shots (23.3 percent) in the second half.
Yao Ming started slow for the Rockets but had 11 points and 10 rebounds for his 26th double-double of the season for Houston, which has won its last three and nine of 11.
LaMarcus Aldridge had 14 points and Travis Outlaw had 13 for Portland, which had its lowest scoring third quarter (12) , lowest scoring second half (29) and lowest shooting percentage (35.7 percent) of the season.
Jazz 127, Kings 113
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Carlos Boozer made his first 13 shots and finished with 33 points to lead Utah over Sacramento.
Boozer shot 15-for-19 and had 10 rebounds and Andrei Kirilenko added 25 points, six rebounds and six assists. Deron Williams had 16 points and 14 assists for Utah.
Kevin Martin scored 32 points, making all 15 of his free throws, and Ron Artest had 15 points and eight rebounds before getting ejected with two technical fouls in the fourth quarter.
Nuggets 100, Nets 85
DENVER (AP) – Allen Iverson scored 30 points, Linas Kleiza added 23 and Denver extended New Jersey’s losing streak to eight games.
Kenyon Martin, the No. 1 overall pick by the Nets in the 2000 draft, scored 20 points.
The Nuggets played a second straight game without Carmelo Anthony, an All-Star starter along with Iverson. Anthony sprained his right ankle last Monday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Richard Jefferson led New Jersey with 19 points. Jason Kidd, another starter in All-Star game, had his 11th triple-double of the year with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. It was his 98th career triple-double.
The Nets have dropped the first five games on a six-game road trip that now heads to Minnesota.
Raptors 106, Bucks 75
TORONTO (AP) – Chris Bosh scored 32 points, Carlos Delfino added 18 and Toronto buried Milwaukee with a 19-0 run in the third quarter.
It was sweet redemption for Bosh, who was held to a season-low one point in a 112-85 loss at Milwaukee on Nov. 6. Bosh has scored 30 or more in five of Toronto’s past eight games.
Anthony Parker and Andrea Bargnani each had 13 and Jose Calderon added 11 points and 12 assists for Toronto, which has won seven of nine. Toronto extended its home winning streak to a season-high five games.
Michael Redd and Charlie Villanueva each scored 12 for the Bucks, who have lost four of five.
Bobcats 90, Bulls 77
CHICAGO (AP) – Emeka Okafor scored 21 points and had 16 rebounds and Gerald Wallace added 21 points to help Charlotte beat injury-depleted Chicago.
Chicago played without its top two scorers, Ben Gordon (wrist) and Luol Deng (Achilles’ tendinitis).
Matt Carroll scored 12 points and was 3-for-4 from 3-point range for the Bobcats and Nazr Mohammed added 11 points.
Andres Nocioni scored 25 points for the Bulls, who have lost five of their last eight games.
Thabo Sefolosha scored 13 points for Chicago on 6-of-16 shooting as the Bulls shot 37 percent as a team.
Wizards 104, Grizzlies 93
WASHINGTON (AP) – Antawn Jamison had 24 points and 12 rebounds and the Wizards rebounded from their worst defeat in more than six years to beat Memphis.
Washington lost to Cleveland 121-85 on Wednesday, and quickly erased memories of that debacle by holding Memphis to nine points in the first quarter – the fewest points the Wizards have ever allowed in a first quarter.
Mike Miller had 21 points and Kyle Lowry had 13 points and a career-high 10 assists for the Grizzlies, losers of eight of their last 10.
Caron Butler had 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Washington. He converted three free throws without a miss to extend his streak to 60 – longest in the NBA since Kobe Bryant made 62 straight in 2005-2006.
Knicks 89, 76ers 81
NEW YORK (AP) – Zach Randolph had 16 points and 15 rebounds to help New York beat Philadelphia for the first time in five meetings.
Jamal Crawford had 18 points and reserve David Lee finished with 14 for the Knicks, who have won five of seven and now head west for a five-game trip that starts Sunday night at Golden State.
Andre Iguodala scored 24 for Philadelphia, which has lost three straight and four of five. The Sixers are 2-11 this month.
New York had lost four straight, and eight of its last nine against Philadelphia.
Hawks 99, SuperSonics 90
SEATTLE (AP) – Marvin Williams scored a career-high 33 points and Atlanta extended Seattle’s losing streak to a franchise-record tying 13 games.
Williams, who grew up in Bremerton, just a ferry ride away from Seattle, had 16 points in the first half as the Hawks blew away the Sonics early to end a four-game losing streak. He also scored 11 points in the fourth quarter to hold off a late rally by the Sonics.
Chris Wilcox scored 18 points and had seven rebounds to lead the Sonics. Kevin Durant added 17 points and Damien Wilkins had 14 points.
