-Kevin Durant and Damien Wilkins, Sonics. Durant made a buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of the second overtime and Wilkins scored a career-high 41 points in the Seattle’s 126-123 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.
-Kevin Martin, Kings, scored a career-high 43 points to lead Sacramento to a 123-118 double-overtime victory over the New York Knicks.
-LeBron James, Cavaliers, had 40 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists in a 99-94 win over the Jazz.
-Lamar Odom, Lakers, had 25 points and 15 rebounds in a 103-91 victory over the Pistons.

Kevin Garnett had 26 points and 11 rebounds, Paul Pierce made the go-ahead layup with 25 seconds left after Boston blew a 15-point fourth-quarter lead, and the Celtics beat the Miami Heat 92-91 on Friday night to improve their record to 8-0. Pierce scored 12, Ray Allen had 19, and Rajon Rondo had nine points and 10 assists for Boston, which had not started a season with eight straight wins since the 1972-73 team won its first 10.

Louis Williams scored all 19 points in the second half to rally the Sixers from a 25-point deficit, and Andre Iguodala gave them their first lead with a minute left in a simply stunning 92-88 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night.

Rookie Kevin Durant made a buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of the second overtime, and Damien Wilkins scored a career-high 41 points in the Seattle SuperSonics’ 126-123 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. With Al Horford guarding him at the top of the key, Durant pumped once to get the defender in the air before shooting over his outstretched arm.

Dwight Howard had 21 points, 19 rebounds and became the NBA’s youngest player to reach 3,000 rebounds, leading the Orlando Magic to a 95-70 victory over the ice-cold and injured New Jersey Nets on Friday night.
