Jerry Stackhouse hit a 3-pointer as time expired, and the Dallas Mavericks got 22 points from Dirk Nowitzki and 20 from Jason Terry in a 95-94 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night. The Mavericks’ seventh straight victory improved their record to 26-11 and kept them tied with Phoenix for the top spot in the Western Conference.

Richard Hamilton hit the go-ahead jumper and two clinching free throws in the final 17 seconds, and the Detroit Pistons overcame a valiant effort from undermanned Charlotte to beat the Bobcats 103-100 in overtime on Saturday night. Hamilton, who scored 26 points, hit a baseline jumper with 16.2 seconds left to put Detroit ahead 101-100 and hit two free throws with 0.2 seconds left to seal the Pistons’ second straight win.
ROCKY ROAD
Deron Williams had 17 points and 11 assists and the Utah Jazz gave Orlando consecutive road losses for the first time this season, beating the Magic 119-115 Saturday night. The Magic, who lead the NBA with 16 road wins, never led and blew several chances from the foul line in the fourth quarter.
STREAKS
Steve Nash scored 26 of his season-high 35 points in the second half and the Suns beat the Milwaukee Bucks in Phoenix for the 20th consecutive time, 122-114, on Saturday night.
