-Tracy McGrady, Rockets, had 26 points, six rebounds and seven assists, and Houston held on for a 92-86 victory over Minnesota.
-Leandro Barbosa, Suns, scored 30 points, including five 3-pointers and Phoenix defeated Charlotte 118-104.

THE HEAT IS OFF
Chris Bosh scored 24 points on 8-for-11 shooting, Andrea Bargnani added 22 and Toronto shot 60 percent Monday night on the way to beating hapless Miami 114-82. It was the Heat’s biggest loss of the year. Miami has lost 19 of its past 20 overall, and 10 of its past 11 at home.
EASY AS 1, 2, THREE
4 victory over the Bobcats on Monday night. Barbosa hit five 3-pointers as the Suns improved to 8-0 against the Bobcats since the franchise was established in 2004. Overall, Phoenix made 16-of-36 3-pointers.
WE HAVE LIFT OFF
Tracy McGrady had 26 points, six rebounds and seven assists, and the surging Rockets held on for a 92-86 victory over Minnesota on Monday night. Since McGrady came back from his knee injury, Houston has won eight of nine. The Rockets also ran their road winning streak to eight.
DOUBLE D
Deron Williams had 29 points and 11 assists, and Utah set a team record for 3-pointers in a 110-88 victory Monday night over New Orleans that extended their winning streak to nine games. Williams had his eighth straight double-double and hit three 3-pointers as the Jazz set a team record by making 14 from beyond the arc.
SNAPPED
Corey Maggette scored 19 points in his return to the lineup, and the Los Angeles Clippers snapped a nine-game road losing streak by beating the slumping Knicks 103-94 Monday night.
TRADE
The New Jersey Nets acquired Memphis Grizzlies forward Stromile Swift on Monday for center Jason Collins and cash. Swift averaged 6.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in seven seasons with Memphis and one with the Houston Rockets. Collins was drafted by Houston in 2001 and traded to the Nets on draft night in a deal for Eddie Griffin that also sent Richard Jefferson to New Jersey. He was a member of the Nets’ NBA finals teams in 2002 and 2003 and has averaged 4.4 points and 4.5 rebounds over seven seasons.
STRONG IN DEFEAT
Al Jefferson scored 33 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in Minnesota’s 92-86 loss to Houston. … Hedo Turkoglu had 13 points, a career-high 13 assists and 12 rebounds for his first career triple double but Orlando loss to Dallas 107-98. … Andre Miller had 29 points in Philadelphia’s 96-91 loss to Atlanta.
