Detroit defeated Chicago 108-87 victory Monday night, taking a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Pistons are 6-0 in the playoffs, the franchise’s best winning streak in a postseason since closing the 1989 championship run with seven straight wins. Game 3 is Thursday in Chicago, giving the Bulls time to regroup after losing two games by a combined 47 points.

Utah Jazz guard Derek Fisher was excused from the Western Conference semifinal opener against Golden State on Monday night to be with his family. Fisher and his wife, Candace, have four children, including twins that were born just before Golden State traded him to Utah last summer.
