HOUSTON (AP) -Rockets star Tracy McGrady will play against San Antonio on Saturday night after missing 11 games because of injuries to his left knee.
The Rockets’ leading scorer with 22.8 points per game, McGrady has been out since Dec. 28 due to a bone bruise, a strained tendon and tendinitis. The Rockets went 7-4 in his absence.
Coach Rick Adelman wouldn’t say if McGrady would start or come off the bench.
“We have to continue to play like we’ve been trying to play,” Adelman said. “It’s a matter of just trying to work him in. It’s not going to be an easy thing to do, because we haven’t had him for quite a while.”
McGrady said Friday he was “75 percent” ready to return. He missed two games earlier this season because of a right elbow injury, and the Rockets lost both contests.
