CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -Charlotte Bobcats leading scorer Gerald Wallace is questionable for Wednesday’s game against Dallas with a strained left calf.
A team spokesman said Wallace remained sore Tuesday and will sit out Wednesday’s shootaround to get additional rest. He’ll test the leg in pregame warmups and determine then if he’ll play.
Wallace first suffered the injury in Saturday’s win over Memphis and aggravated it during Monday’s loss to San Antonio, forcing him out of the game in the fourth quarter. Wallace’s left leg was elevated and strapped to an electrical stimulation machine after the game.
Wallace is averaging 21.4 points and 6.2 rebounds a game. He scored 40 and 36 points in consecutive wins over Denver and Orlando last week.
