LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The 2014-15 College Basketball Season gets started tonight with 22 games featuring ranked teams. Here is a look at the odds for the top games on the day.

The featured game of the day has No. 8 Louisville meeting Minnesota at 7:30PM ET in the Armed Forces Classic from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Cardinals are favored in this game, as they are getting odds of -6 points against the Golden Gophers tonight. The over/under total for the game hasn’t been set. These two met last in 2008, with Minnesota winning 70-64 despite being a 9-point underdog.
Another game of note today has No. 16 VCU taking on Tennessee at 6:30PM ET in the Quicken Loans Veterans Classic from Annapolis, Maryland. Oddsmakers have VCU favored in the game, as it is getting odds of -7 points against the Volunteers. The over/under total for the game has not been set. These two teams last met back in 2010 with Tennessee winning 77-72 and covering a 3-point spread in the process.

The third game of note today has No. 14 Iowa State hosting Oakland at 8PM ET. Oddsmakers have Iowa State as the clear favorite, as the Cyclones are getting odds of -20 points against the Grizzlies tonight. The over/under total has not been set for the game. These two have had no recent meetings. Oakland went 3-6-1 against the spread in its last 10 games of last season while Iowa State went 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games.
