Thursday’s Sweet 16 Betting Trends
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – With Sweet 16 action set to tip off in a few hours, let’s take a look at some of the key trends for tonight’s four games.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Notre Dame is now a 2-point underdog versus Wichita State for tonight’s 7:15PM ET matchup. The Irish are a brutal 1-10 against the spread in their last 11 NCAA Tournament games while the Shockers are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight non-conference matchups.
At 7:47PM ET Wisconsin will take on North Carolina and is currently a 6.5-point favorite over the Tar Heels. The Badgers are 13-3 against the number in their last 16 games versus the ACC while the Tar Heels are just 1-4 at the betting window in their last five March Madness games.
Kentucky is a 13.5-point favorite over West Virginia for the 9:45PM ET tip off and has struggled to cover in its recent NCAA Tournament games. The Wildcats are winless at 0-3-1 against the number in their last four March Madness games while the Mountaineers are 0-5 ATS in their last five games versus SEC opponents.
In the final Sweet 16 matchup of the night, the Wildcats of Arizona are 10.5-point favorites over Xavier at 10:17PM ET. The Musketeers are 19-5-2 against the spread in their last 26 NCAA Tournament games while the Wildcats are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games overall.
