AAC College Basketball Predictions: Houston vs. Cincinnati 1/31/18

Houston vs. Cincinnati Pick

How will No. 8 Cincinnati perform at home when it takes on Houston tonight at 7PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Cincinnati is favored at home, as the Bearcats are getting odds of -9.5 points against Houston. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 133.5 points. Tonight’s game will take place from BB&T Arena in Highland Heights, Kentucky and will air live on the CBS Sports Network.

Cincinnati is continuing its win streak with a 62-48 victory at Memphis this past weekend. The Bearcats are 19-2 on the season, 8-0 in the conference and 10-7-1 against the spread. Cincy is averaging 76.9 points per game on offense while holding opponents to just 56.2 per game. Jacob Evans is leading Cincy with 13.7 points per game while Gary Clark is adding 13.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest.

Houston is coming off back-to-back wins over Wichita State and South Florida. The Cougars are 16-4 overall, 6-2 in the AAC and 9-7 against the spread. Houston is averaging 78.4 points per game on offense while allowing 65.7 per contest. Rob Gray is averaging 18.7 points and 4.1 assists per game to lead Houston while Corey Davis Jr. is adding 12.5 points and 3 assists per contest.

Bet on Houston vs. Cincinnati

Cincinnati has won nine of its last 10 meetings with Houston and the Bearcats have covered in four of the last five meetings as well. The Cincinnati defense is holding opponents to just 54.5 per game at home and Houston isn’t a tremendous offensive team to overcome what the Bearcats can do. Cincy’s last six games have been won by double digits and I see another lopsided win tonight. The public betting is nearly split on this game, but I will take Cincinnati at home.
