Arizona gives Miller extension
TUCSON, AZ (TheSpread) – Arizona and head coach Sean Miller have reached an agreement on a 1-year contract extension that will see a bump in pay for the final year of the deal.
The new extension adds a year to his current contract, which now runs through 2019 and boost his pay to $1.6 million in that final season. He signed a 1-year extension following last season as well.
Miller led Arizona to a Pac-12 Championship this season and a run to the Elite Eight. The Wildcats finished the season with a 33-5 record overall and a 15-3 mark in conference play. It was Arizona’s fourth NCAA Tournament appearance under Miller.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Arizona has 16/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament in 2015. Oddsmakers see Kentucky as the favorite to win it all next season, with 5/1 odds. Duke is the next favorite at 10/1.
