Auburn vs. LSU Public Betting: Bettors Leaning Towards Tar Heels

Our CBB Public Betting Information page indicates that 64% of public bettors are currently backing Auburn when it comes to the spread. This information is subject to change throughout the day, however, so be sure to check the link so you’re receiving the most up-to-date public betting data.

Broome sparks Tigers in return

Johni Broome chipped in 16 points (7-19 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and four blocks over 33 minutes during Saturday’s 53-51 win over Tennessee. Broome’s ankle injury will still be something to monitor, as he had to come out of the game early to have it wrapped, though he eventually returned. While Broome was a little rusty offensively, that’s to be expected against the defensive-minded Volunteers, and he at least put up his best rebounding total since Dec. 20. The respectable stat line was produced off the bench, so as long as there were no setbacks here, a return to the starting lineup Wednesday at LSU will at least be on the table.

Miller partakes in first full-contact practice

Vyctorius Miller (undisclosed) partook in his first full-contact practice Monday, Glen West of 247Sports.com reports. Miller is reportedly on track to be available for the Tigers’ clash with Auburn, but he’ll likely be a game-time call regardless. The freshman guard, who’s missed the past three games, averages 10.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

Auburn vs. LSU CBB Prediction:

Take LSU. LSU is 1-5 in SEC play this season, but Auburn doesn’t cover many spreads. The Tigers (AU) failed to cover in a win over Tennessee, didn’t cover in a win at Georgia, at South Carolina, at Texas or versus Mizzou. The only time Auburn has beat a number over its last six games as versus Mississippi State on January 14.

As for LSU, those Tigers have lost five out of their last six games. That said, they’ve covered three straight lines, including as an underdog of 11.5 and 17.5 points, respectively.

Auburn vs. LSU Hoops Prediction: LSU TIGERS +12
