LJ Cryer chipped in 20 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 36 minutes during Saturday’s 67-64 win over Arkansas. Cryer finished as Baylor’s second-leading scorer behind freshman Keyonte George. The junior shooting guard saw his offensive role take a slight dip after coming back from a concussion in early January, attempting an average of 7.6 field goals across the following five games. However, Cryer has now logged double-digit field-goal attempts in each of the past three games, scoring six, 22, and 20 points across these contests. He, George and Adam Flagler should continue to serve as the Bears’ top scoring options moving forward.
Texas Longhorns DFS Spin
Sir’Jabari Rice totaled 21 points (8-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and one assist over 31 minutes during Saturday’s 82-71 loss to Tennessee. Rice put up a season-high 16 field-goal attempts, as the Longhorns’ starting five were held to 27 collective points. The backup guard saw his most extensive playing time of the year due to a resounding loss for Texas. Rice has now scored in double figures five times in the last nine games, though he logged at least seven free-throw attempts in three of these previous contests. Rice also hasn’t provided much consistent production via rebounds (3.1) or assists (1.3) during this span, so his fantasy value should continue to be tied to his role as a scorer.
