Saturday’s Big 12 Predictions

There are three games in the Big 12 Conference that featured ranked teams on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Here’s our predictions for these three games.

521 No. 20 West Virginia at 522 Texas, Noon ET (ESPN)

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, West Virginia is a road favorite in this game, as the Mountaineers are getting odds of -5 points against the Longhorns. WVU hasn’t been the best on the road, posting a 5-4 record straight up and against the spread. However, the Longhorns aren’t anything special at home either, going just 6-6 against the spread. Mohamed Bamba is still dealing with a toe injury and is listed as questionable to play. Texas doesn’t have a lot of offensive weapons as is, so with Bamba hurt, I see it really struggling against the Mountaineers’ defensive pressure. I’ll roll the dice on WVU on the road. BIG 12 PREDICTIONS: 521 WEST VIRGINIA -5

Bet on Big 12 for Saturday, March 3, 2018

565 No. 6 Kansas at 566 Oklahoma State, 4PM ET (ESPN)

Oddsmakers have the Big 12 champs as a 5-point favorite at Oklahoma State this afternoon. The Jayhawks will be looking to get revenge for an 84-79 loss at home to the Cowboys back on Feb. 3. Kansas is actually playing somewhat well right now. The Jayhawks have won five straight and covered in three of their last four. Oklahoma State hasn’t been too reliable at home, going just 6-8 against the spread. I think Kansas comes out looking to prove a point and avenge the previous loss. BIG 12 PREDICTIONS: 565 KANSAS -5

Matchup histories for Saturday, March 3, 2018

557 TCU at 558 No. 12 Texas Tech, 4PM ET (ESPN2)

Texas Tech finds itself as a 6.5-point favorite coming into today’s contest. Tech already owns an 83-71 win at TCU back on Feb. 3 and the Red Raiders have covered the spread in three straight in this series. These two are going in opposite directions, as Tech has lost and failed to cover in its last four while the Horned Frogs have won and covered in their last four. However, three of the wins came at home and were against some of the shaky teams in the Big 12. Tech dropped three of their games on the road and the home loss was by two to Kansas. I think the Red Raiders are getting a small spread due to the recent trends, but I think they roll to a big win. BIG 12 PREDICTIONS: 558 TEXAS TECH -6.5
