Seton Hall is the fifth seed in this tournament after going 20-10 during the regular season with a 10-8 record in the Big East. The Pirates have won their last four games entering this tournament and are 12-16-1 against the spread. Seton Hall is averaging 73.7 points per game on offense while allowing 70.5 on defense. When away from home, Seton Hall is allowing 76.1 points per game. Khadeen Carrington is leading the team with 17 points per game while Angel Delgado is adding 15.7 points and 13.1 rebounds per game.

Marquette is the fourth seed in this tournament. The Golden Eagles were 10-8 in the Big Ten and 19-11 overall this season. Marquette closed the regular season on a two-game winning streak and it sits at 16-14 against the spread this season. The Eagles average 82.7 points per game on offense this year while allowing 74.8. Away from home, Marquette is giving up 82.5 points per contest. Markus Howard is averaging 13.1 points per game to lead the team while Jajuan Johnson is adding 12 points per game.

Bet on the Big East Tournament

Both teams are playing pretty well right now entering the tournament, but the difference is the Golden Eagles have been stronger at the betting window. Seton Hall is just 2-3 against the spread in its last five games while Marquette is 4-1 ATS in its last five. The Golden Eagles have an offense that I think Seton Hall is going to struggle to keep pace with when push comes to shove. Marquette has eclipsed 90 in three of their last four, a number Seton Hall hasn’t hit since Dec. 1.
