Big Ten College Basketball Predictions: Nebraska vs. Purdue 1/6/18

Big Ten College Basketball Predictions: Rutgers vs. Purdue 1/3/18 Big Ten College Basketball Predictions: Rutgers vs. Purdue 1/3/18

Nebraska vs. Purdue Pick

Can No. 13 Purdue make quick work of Nebraska when the two meet in Big Ten play today at 2:15PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Purdue is favored at home today, as the Boilermakers are getting odds of -18 points against Nebraska. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 147.5 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana and will air live on the Big Ten Network.

Nebraska is on a four-game win streak right now following a 70-55 win at Northwestern earlier this week. The Cornhuskers are 11-5 overall, 2-1 in the Big Ten and 9-5 against the spread. The Huskers have covered the spread in five straight lined games. Nebraska is putting up 75.4 points per game on offense while giving up 70.9 per game on defense. James Palmer Jr. is posting 15.3 points per game to lead the Huskers while Isaac Copeland is adding 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest.

Purdue is on a 10-game win streak right now following an 82-51 win over Rutgers this week. The Boilermakers are now 14-2 overall, 3-0 in the Big Ten and 11-4 against the spread. Purdue has covered in four straight and eight of its last 10. The Boilermakers are averaging 86.9 points per game on offense while allowing just 63.4 per game. Carsen Edwards is putting up 17.4 points per game to lead Purdue while Vincent Edwards is adding 13.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per contest.

Bet on Nebraska vs. Purdue

Purdue has won three of its last four meetings Nebraska, covering the spread in all three wins as well. Purdue is playing as well as anyone right now and the Boilermakers look unbeatable at home. They average 90 points per game at home while holding opponents to just 58.2 points per game. Nebraska is playing well right now too, but I don’t think the Huskers are ready for Purdue. The Boilermakers should be able to get out to a fast start and take Nebraska out quickly. The public betting is backing Purdue slightly and I like the home team as well.
