Wednesday’s Big Ten Predictions
There are two games on the Big Ten Schedule for Wednesday night. Here are our predictions for which teams will cover the spread.
Iowa at No. 22 Michigan, 6:30PM ET (Big Ten Network)
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Michigan is the clear favorite in this game, as the Wolverines are getting odds of -11.5 points against Iowa. The Wolverines already own a win and cover over the Hawkeyes this season in a 75-68 win at Iowa on Jan. 2. Iowa has brought little to the table this year. Iowa is just 9-12 against the spread overall and 1-7-1 ATS on the road. Michigan has won its last four at home and the last loss was still a cover against Purdue. The Wolverines shouldn’t have trouble running past this poor Iowa team today. BIG TEN PREDICTIONS: MICHIGAN -11.5
Illinois at Indiana, 8:30PM ET (Big Ten Network)
Oddsmakers like Indiana tonight, as the Hoosiers are getting odds of -9 points against Illinois. The Illini already own a 73-71 win at home over Indiana on Jan. 24, but Illinois is winless on the road this season. Indiana hasn’t had a great year, but Hoosiers have been tough at home. They have covered in eight straight games at Assembly Hall. While the spread is a little bigger than I would like for Indiana, I expect the Hoosiers to cover. Illinois has been very poor defensively on the road and Indiana can lock in on lackluster shooting. The public betting agrees with me, as 82 percent of the wagers are going on IU.
