Can Purdue extend its four-year cover streak against Michigan on Saturday?

Purdue strong vs. Michigan

No. 18 Purdue has been on a roll at the betting window when facing Michigan. Will that continue when the two meet today at 2PM ET on ESPN2?

View Tonight’s College Basketball Odds

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Purdue is slightly favored on the road, as the Boilermakers are getting odds of -1.5 points against Michigan. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 142.5 points.

The Boilermakers (20-5, 8-4 Big Ten) are coming off a big OT win at home over Michigan State, their first win over a ranked opponent this season. Now Purdue hosts Michigan (18-7, 8-4), which has the same Big Ten record, but is in the middle of a funk. Michigan is coming off a win at Minnesota by 8 points, but the Gophers don’t have a conference win this season. Michigan is just 2-6 against the spread in its last eight, losing two games at home by double figures to Indiana and Michigan State where they didn’t compete at all.

Making matters worse for Michigan is that Purdue has owned this season at the betting window. In the last seven meetings between these two, Purdue is just 3-4 straight up, but the Boilermakers are 6-0-1 against the spread in those games. In the lone meeting this season, Purdue beat Michigan at home, 87-70. Purdue shot 55 percent from the field in the win and 50 percent from 3-point land, racking up 26 assists as a team.
