LeVert returns for Michigan
ANN ARBOR, MI (TheSpread) – After offseason surgery, Michigan guard Caris LeVert is returning to action for the Michigan Wolverines.
LeVert had surgery following the 2013-14 season for a stress fracture in his foot and Michigan coach John Beilein announced that the junior started playing last week, though not quite up to 100 percent.
LeVert saw one of the biggest improvements in the country last season, helping Michigan win the Big Ten regular season championship. LeVert averaged just 2.3 points and 1.1 rebounds per game as a freshman, but improved to 12.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game as a sophomore. With the departure of Nik Stauskas, Glenn Robinson III and Mitch McGary, LeVert will be looked to as the leader of the Wolverines in his junior season.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan has been given 33/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament next season. Oddsmakers see Kentucky as the favorite with 4/1 odds while Arizona now comes in with 9/1 odds.
