Bet on Kansas vs. West Virginia
Kansas has won 18 straight to get to 18-1 on the season and 7-0 in the Big 12, but covering the spread hasn’t been something it has done frequently. The Jayhawks are just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 and 6-11 ATS overall. This Kansas team averages 85.4 points per game on the season, but only 78.5 in road games. Defensively, Kansas is allowing 70.3 points per game. Frank Mason III is leading the team with 20.1 points and 5.4 assists per game while Josh Jackson is adding 15.1 points and 6.7 boards per game.
West Virginia has lost two straight coming into this game to drop to 15-4 on the season and 4-3 in the Big 12. The Mountaineers are just 1-5 against the spread in their last five to fall to 7-7 ATS on the season. WVU averages 88.3 points per game on the season and that number jumps up to 94.4 at home. Defensively, WVU is allowing just 64.7 per game. Jevon Carter is the leading scorer at 12 points, 4.6 assists and 3.2 steals per game. Three others are also scoring in double figures.

West Virginia is obviously a good team with an outstanding offense and pretty good defense, but I don’t like Kansas getting points and picking against them. While the Jayhawks aren’t good against the spread, it’s because they are usually a big favorite. This team has still won 18 straight and still very talented. I trust Kansas to come through in a big game more than I do the Mountaineers.
