Cal has won two straight meetings in this series, including a 66-55 win over the Cardinal on Jan. 29 at home as an 8-point favorite. Cal has also covered the spread in two straight against Stanford.

Cal is coming off a 62-57 loss at Arizona to snap a five-game winning streak. The Golden Bears are now 18-7 overall and 9-4 in the Pac-12. Despite the loss, Cal has covered in its last three games to move to 11-14 against the spread on the season. Cal is averaging just 69.6 points per game on offense this year, but it is holding opponents to only 62.2 points per game. Ivan Rabb is leading the team with 14.7 points and 10.6 rebounds per game while Jabari Bird is adding 14.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest.
Stanford is coming off a 75-69 loss at Arizona State last weekend to drop to 12-13 on the season and 4-9 in the Pac-12. The Cardinal are just 1-5 in their last six overall and 2-4 against the spread in those six games. Stanford is 11-13 against the spread on the season. The Cardinal average just 68.3 points per game on offense while allowing 70.2 on defense. At home, Stanford is putting up 74.2 points per game on offense. Even though Cal is coming off a loss, the Bears have been playing well for weeks now. Losing by five at Arizona is certainly not a bad loss and is was coming off a five-game win streak, including a win over Stanford. The Bears following up their last loss with an 11-point win on the road and I think they will be able to come through tonight as well. Stanford hasn’t had a tremendous performance in some time and being at home hasn’t led to much of a rise in play either.
