Florida vs. Vanderbilt Pick
Can No. 12 Florida go on the road and cover as a slight favorite when it faces Vanderbilt today at 2PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Florida is the slim favorite on the road, as the Gators are getting odds of -4 points against Vanderbilt. The over/under total for the game is listed at 139 points. Vanderbilt won the first meeting at Florida on Jan. 21, 68-66. Vandy has won three straight in this series and is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings.

Florida is coming off a 78-65 win over Arkansas this week to move to 24-6 on the season and 14-3 in the SEC. The Gators have covered the spread in seven of their last 10 games and sit at 17-11 against the spread this season. Florida is putting up 79.1 points per game on offense while allowing just 66.2 on defense. KeVaughn Allen has been averaging 13.9 points per game to lead the team while Canyon Barry is adding 12.4 points per game. Barry has been dealing with an ankle injury, but is expected to play today.
Vandy is coming off a 73-67 loss at Kentucky this weekend to drop to 16-14 on the season and 9-8 in the SEC. The Commodores have covered the spread in five straight games to improve to 17-11 against the spread on the season. Vandy is averaging 71.7 points per game on offense while allowing 68.9 on defense. When at home, the offense puts up 77.3 per game. Matthew Fisher-Davis is leading the team with 14.4 points per game while Luke Kornet is adding 11.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
This game should be a grind, but I like Florida on the road. The Gators have covered the spread 11 times away from home and they will be looking to get revenge on Vandy for the loss at home earlier this season. Outside of the loss to Kentucky, Florida had won its last four road games, three by double digits.
