Hoosiers ready themselves for in-state bout
Indiana hasn’t received much resistance since edging Kansas on Nov. 11. Nonetheless, can upstart Fort Wayne put a little scare into Tom Crean’s team tonight?
The two schools tip off at 9 p.m. ET in the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. Online sports book Bovada.lv gives IU odds of -1100 to come out on top. The Mastodons, on the other hand, represent +750 underdogs.

Crean’s loaded roster needed overtime to defeat the Jayhawks in its season opener. Since then, however, things have gotten downright ugly for those who dare step foot in Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers smashed Liberty over the weekend, 87-48, picking up 49 rebounds along the way. Indiana also forced the Flames into 11 turnovers.
Fort Wayne, though, is on a bit of a roll. Mo Evans had 33 points and 13 assists in Saturday’s 94-81 triumph over UMass Lowell. The star senior’s connecting on 59.6 percent of his shots through four contests.

Unfortunately, the Mastodons are simply incapable of matching the Hoosiers’ athleticism. James Blackmon Jr., Thomas Bryant and Robert Johnson will inevitably wear down Jon Coffman’s troops. Once the second half arrives, the picture won’t be pretty.
