According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, West Virginia is favored on the road, as the Mountaineers are getting odds of -4.5 points against TCU. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 146 points. West Virginia has won 10 straight in this series after beating TCU at home, 82-70, back on Jan. 7.
West Virginia is coming off a 77-62 win over Texas. The Mountaineers are 22-6 on the season and 10-5 in the Big 12. They are 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five games to get to 12-10-1 ATS on the season. WVU is averaging 85.3 points per game on offense while allowing 66.6 on defense. Jevon Carter is putting up 12.6 points and 4.1 assists per game to lead the team while Esa Ahmad is adding 11.7 points per game. Ahmad is questionable with a lower body injury.
TCU has lost four straight coming into today. The Horned Frogs are 17-11 on the season and 6-9 in the Big 12. They have failed to cover the spread in five straight games to drop to 12-14 ATS on the season. TCU is averaging 74 points per game on offense while allowing 69.9 on defense. When at home, they are giving up 65.4 points per game. Vladimir Brodziansky is leading the team with 13.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while Alex Robinson is adding 11.3 points and 5.5 assists per contest.

TCU did already cover at West Virginia, but I think that is causing the spread to be too low today. While the Mountaineers are on the road, they still have a balanced offense that should be able to run past the Horned Frogs. TCU isn’t playing well right now and playing against WVU isn’t likely to help that.
