Three CBB Underdogs to Bet Thursday
Here are three college basketball underdogs that bettors can potentially profit from on Thursday night, including the Cal Golden Bears.
California at Arizona State, 9:00 p.m. ET
According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Golden Bears opened as 16.5-point road underdogs but are now +14 tonight against the Sun Devils. Cal is a putrid 1-9 over its last 10 games but are an impressive 12-4 at the betting window in its last 16 road games against Arizona State. The road team is also 21-10 at the betting window in the last 31 meetings between these two teams and the underdog has cashed in five of the last seven meetings.

Stanford at Arizona, 10:00 p.m. ET
With all the self-inflicted crap that the Wildcats are currently going through, I’m a little surprised the line for this game jumped from 9.5 to 10.5 in favor of Arizona. Nevertheless, Stanford seems to rise to the level of its competition, covering the spread in eight of its last nine games when facing an opponent with a winning percentage above .600. The Cardinal is also 7-2 at the betting window in its last nine games following a win. Meanwhile, the Wildcats are just 1-8-1 at the betting window in their last eight home games and are 4-16-1 ATS in their last 21 games when facing a team with a winning record.
College Basketball Prediction: Stanford Cardinal +10.5
Virginia at Louisville, 8:00 p.m. ET
I’m going to fade the public here, which is all over the road favorite. The Cavaliers went from -3.5 to -4 but I see some value in the home dog. The Cardinals are 6-2-1 against the spread in their last nine games coming off an ATS win and are 5-2-1 against the number in their last eight games coming off a straight up victory. Louisville is also desperate, as the Cardinals need a win to enhance their NCAA Tournament resume. This is one of their last shots and I’ll roll the dice on the desperate squad getting points at home.
