College Basketball Predictions: Creighton vs. Northwestern 11/15/17

Creighton vs. Northwestern Pick

Will No. 20 Northwestern overcome a tough challenge at home when the Wildcats host Creighton at 9PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Northwestern is favored at home tonight, as the Wildcats are getting odds of -4.5 points against Creighton. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 153.5 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois and will air live on the Big Ten Network.

Northwestern has started the season with a pair of competitive wins, beating Loyola-Maryland 79-75 and Saint Peter’s 75-66. The Wildcats failed to cover in its lone lined game, the win over Saint Peter’s. Northwestern is being led by Scottie Lindsey, who is averaging 19 points, six rebounds and three assists per game. Bryant McIntosh is adding 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and five assists per game.

Creighton is off to a 2-0 start as well, defeating Yale 92-76 and Alcorn State 109-72. Only the game with Yale had a line, which Creighton easily covered (-8.5). Creighton is being led by Marcus Foster, who is averaging 23 points per game. Khyri Thomas is adding 14.5 points per game for the Bluejays while Martin Krampelj is averaging 9.5 points and 10.5 assists per contest.

Bet on Creighton vs. Northwestern

These two haven’t met since 2011, with the home team winning and covering in the last two encounters. Northwestern had a great story last year, making the run to the NCAA Tournament, but the Wildcats still have a lot to do to prove they are a program capable of sustaining success. This isn’t anything new for Creighton, which has been one of the nation’s best mid-major teams over the last decade. I expect the Bluejays to be able to handle themselves on the road just fine tonight. The public betting is behind Creighton tonight and I agree with them.
