Duke vs. Florida Pick
Who will come away as the winner of the PK80-Motion Tournament when No. 7 Florida and No. 1 Duke meet up tonight at 10:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Duke is favored in this game, as the Blue Devils are getting odds of -1.5 points against Florida. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 162 points. Today’s games takes place from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon and will air live on ESPN.
Duke is off to a 7-0 start to the season following a big comeback win over Texas in OT on Friday night. The Blue Devils are 4-1 against the spread, only failing to cover against Portland State in an 18-point victory. The Blue Devils are scoring 91.1 points per game while allowing 71.6 per contest. Marvin Bagley III is putting up 21.1 points and 10.7 rebounds per game to lead the team while Wendell Carter Jr. is adding 13.7 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per contest.
Florida is off to a 5-0 start to the season following a 111-105 OT win over Gonzaga on Friday. The Gators are 4-1 against the spread, but playing as an underdog for the first time this season. Florida is putting up 102.6 points per game this season while allowing 79.4 per game. Jalen Hudson is leading the Gators with 21.4 points per game while Ego Koulechov is adding 18 points and seven rebounds per contest.
Duke has won two of its last three meetings with Florida, covering the spread in the two wins as well. Duke is also 7-2 against the spread in its last nine at a neutral site and 7-2-1 ATS in its last 10 games following a win. Florida is just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against the ACC. The public betting is siding with Duke in this game and I like the Blue Devils as well. Their comeback win on Friday should provide some momentum for today’s game.
