Kansas vs. Nebraska Pick

Can No. 13 Kansas get back on track today when the Jayhawks hit the road to face Nebraska at 8PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Kansas is heavily favored on the road, as the Jayhawks are getting odds of -11.5 points against Nebraska. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 148 points. Tonight’s game takes place from Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska and will air live on FS1.

Kansas has lost its last two games coming into today. The Jayhawks fell 74-65 to Washington and then lost 95-85 to Arizona State last weekend. Kansas is 7-2 overall and 5-3 against the spread. Kansas is putting up 88.1 points per game this season while allowing 66.4 per contest. Lagerald Vick is leading the team with 18.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. Devonte’ Graham is adding 16.9 points and 7.7 assists per contest.

Nebraska is coming off a 75-65 loss at Creighton last weekend to fall to 7-4 on the season. The Cornhuskers are 6-5 against the spread this year, covering in three of their last four games. Nebraska is scoring just 73.2 points per game this season while allowing 71.1 per contest. James Palmer Jr. is putting up 14.2 points per game to lead the team while Glynn Watson Jr. is adding 13.9 points and 3.6 assists per contest.

Bet on Kansas vs. Nebraska

Kansas has won 10 straight meetings in this series, but the Cornhuskers have covered the spread in three of the last four encounters. Kansas seems to be in a bit of a funk and now is playing in its first true road game and doing so against a former conference rival. I know Nebraska doesn’t have all the tools that Kansas does, but I don’t like the Jayhawks giving up this many points right now. The public betting is strong with Kansas, but I think Nebraska steps up today and keeps this interesting.
