College Basketball Predictions: North Carolina vs. Davidson 12/1/17

North Carolina vs. Davidson Pick

Will No. 13 North Carolina face any resistance when the Tar Heels take on Davidson tonight at 8PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, North Carolina is favored in this game, as the Tar Heels are getting odds of -10.5 points against Davidson. The over/under total for the game has been set at 159.5 points. Tonight’s game takes place from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina and will air live on ESPN2.

North Carolina bounced back from its 18-point loss to Michigan State last weekend with an 86-71 win over Michigan at home earlier this week. The Tar Heels are now 6-1 on the season and 4-2 against the spread. UNC is putting up 85 points per game while allowing 71.7 per contest. The Tar Heels are being led by Luke Maye, who is averaging 20.1 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Joel Berry II is adding 15.3 points and 3.7 assists per game.

Davidson is coming off an 85-70 win over Charlotte this week to improve to 3-2 on the season. The Wildcats are 2-2 against the spread this season, as they average 86.6 points per game on offense and allow 74.4 points per contest. Davidson is being led by Peyton Aldridge, who is averaging 22 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. Jon Axel Gudmundsson is adding 15.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.0 assists per contest.

Bet on North Carolina vs. Davidson

UNC has won eight straight meetings in this series, but Davidson has covered the spread in three of their last five against the Tar Heels. Still, I think UNC can handle itself tonight. The Heels are 5-2 ATS in their last seven non-conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last four Friday games. Davidson is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 against the ACC. The loss to Michigan State could be a good thing in the long run for the Heels, as it allowed Roy Williams to truly get their attention. It showed in the win over Michigan. The public betting is strongly with UNC tonight and I am as well.
