College Basketball Predictions: Notre Dame vs. Michigan State 11/30/17

Notre Dame vs. Michigan St. Pick

The final day of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge features one of its best games as No. 3 Michigan State will host No. 5 Notre Dame tonight at 7PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Michigan State is favored in this game, as the Spartans are getting odds of -6 points against the Fighting Irish. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 136.5 points. Tonight’s game takes place from the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan and will air live on ESPN.

Notre Dame is off to a 6-0 start to the season after a 67-66 win over Wichita State in the finals of the Maui Invitational. The Irish are 3-1 against the spread this season, covering in their last two games. Notre Dame is scoring 84.8 points per game thus far while allowing 61 points per contest. Bonzie Colson is averaging 20 points and 10.5 rebounds per game to lead the Irish while Matt Farrell is adding 17.5 points and 4.3 assists per game.

Michigan State is coming off a big 63-45 win in the finals of the PK80 Tournament last weekend in Oregon. The Spartans are now 5-1 on the season, losing only to Duke, and 4-2 against the spread. MSU is putting up 80.8 points per game this season while allowing just 63 per game. Miles Bridges is putting up 15.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game to lead the team while Nick Ward is adding 13.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest.

Bet on Notre Dame vs. Michigan State

Notre Dame won the last meeting with Michigan State in OT back in 2014. Both teams have good trends for this game, but the Spartans are 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 home games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 against the ACC. MSU and Tom Izzo got past a big hurdle, beating UNC. Izzo hadn’t beaten Roy Williams at UNC prior to that. That should lead to some momentum for tonight at home. Notre Dame has been great and beaten good teams, but those were in a neutral setting. Going on the road at MSU may be a tougher challenge. The public betting is with Michigan State in this one and I agree.
