San Francisco vs. Saint Mary’s Pick
Will No. 13 Saint Mary’s keep rolling along when the Gaels host San Francisco tonight at 11PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Saint Mary’s is favored at home tonight, as the Gaels are getting odds of -13.5 points against San Francisco. The over/under total for the game is listed at 138.5 points. Tonight’s game will take place from McKeon Pavilion in Moraga, California and will air live on ESPNU.
San Francisco is coming off an 82-73 loss at Gonzaga last weekend to snap a two-game win streak. The Dons are 12-11 overall, 4-6 in the WCC and 7-12 against the spread. San Francisco is averaging just 69 points per game on offense this season while allowing 68.5 per contest. Souley Boum is leading the Dons with 13.4 points per game while Chase Foster is adding 11 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest.
Saint Mary’s remains unbeaten in the West Coast Conference thanks to a 72-55 victory over Portland at home last weekend. The Gaels are now 21-2 overall, 10-0 in the WCC and 9-9-1 against the spread. Saint Mary’s is putting up 79.5 points per game this season while allowing just 65.2 per game. Jock Landale is averaging 22.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per game to lead Saint Mary’s while Calvin Hermanson is adding 12.2 points per contest.
Bet on San Francisco vs. Saint Mary’s
Saint Mary’s has won six straight meetings with San Francisco, covering in five of the six games as well. The Dons are coming off a cover at Gonzaga, but I don’t think they will be able to do the same tonight. The tough battle with the Bulldogs should leave them a little slower tonight against a Saint Mary’s team that doesn’t mess around with most of their lesser opponents, especially at home. The public betting is backing San Francisco tonight, but I like the Gaels to roll.
