College Basketball Predictions: Wichita State vs. Baylor 12/2/17

Wichita State vs. Baylor Pick

Will No. 8 Wichita State be able to go on the road and get past No. 16 Baylor when these two meet in a key non-conference contest at 2PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Wichita State is favored on the road, as the Shockers are getting odds of -2.5 points against Baylor. The over/under total for the game has been set at 139 points. Tonight’s game takes place from the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas and will air live on ESPNU.

Wichita State is coming off a big win over Savannah State on Tuesday to improve to 5-1 on the season. The Shockers are 2-2 against the spread. Wichita State is scoring 90 points per game this season while allowing 66.8 per contest. Landry Shamet is putting up 14.2 points and 3.2 assists per game to lead the team. He is questionable to play today due to an ankle injury. Shaquille Morris is adding 13.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per contest.

Baylor is coming off a 76-63 loss at Xavier this week to fall to 5-1 on the season. The Bears are 2-1 against the spread. Baylor is putting up 75.5 points per game this season while allowing 62.2 per contest. Manu Lecomte is leading Baylor with 17.7 points per game while Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. is adding 13 points and 10 rebounds per contest. Terry Maston is averaging 11.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, but is out today due to a hand injury.

Bet on Wichita State vs. Baylor

These two haven’t met since 2007 with Baylor getting a 9-point win. Baylor comes into today’s game just 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 home games while Wichita State is 44-21-1 in its last 66 road games. The Shockers are also 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game. The public betting is siding with Wichita State today and I agree. I think the Shockers are more tested than the Bears.
