College Basketball Predictions: Will Miami upset Virginia? 2/13/16

College Hoops Predictions: Virginia vs. Syracuse a Good Under Bet? 2/3/18 College Hoops Predictions: Virginia vs. Syracuse a Good Under Bet? 2/3/18

Virginia vs. Miami Pick

Following a loss at home, will No. 1 Virginia bounce back tonight when it hits the road to face Miami at 9PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Virginia is favored on the road in this game, as the Cavaliers are getting odds of -6 points against Miami. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 118.5 points. Tonight’s game will take place from Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida and will air live on ESPN.

Virginia saw its long win streak snapped this weekend in a 61-60 OT loss at home to Virginia Tech. The Cavs are now 23-2 overall, 12-1 in the ACC and 16-5-1 against the spread. UVA is scoring just 68 points per game but allowing only 52.8 per contest. Kyle Guy is leading Virginia with 15.3 points per game while Devon Hall is adding 12.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest.

Miami is coming off a 72-70 loss at Boston College this weekend, ending a three-game win streak. The Hurricanes are 18-6 on the season, 7-5 in the ACC and 9-10 against the spread. Miami is scoring 75.5 points per game this season while allowing 66.6 per game. Dewan Huell is leading Miami with 12.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while Lonnie Walker IV is adding 11.3 points per contest.

Bet on Virginia vs. Miami

Miami has won two of the last three meetings in this series, but the two have yet to meet this season. UVA has covered in five of the last seven meetings and I think the Cavs will bounce back tonight against a Miami team that has struggled to cover. The Canes are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six and they have failed to cover in four straight at home. The public betting is backing Virginia and I agree with them.
