College Basketball Predictions: Will Ohio State cover vs. Nebraska? 1/22/18

Nebraska vs. Ohio State Pick

Can No. 22 Ohio State keep rolling to big wins in the Big Ten when the Buckeyes host Nebraska tonight at 8PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Ohio State is the clear favorite at home tonight, as the Buckeyes are getting odds of -10.5 points against Nebraska. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 138.5 points. Tonight’s game is set to take place from Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio and will air live on the Big Ten Network.

Ohio State is off to an 8-0 start in the Big Ten and the Buckeyes have won seven straight coming into tonight’s game while covering in six straight. Ohio State is 17-4 overall and 11-8 against the spread. The Buckeyes are putting up 78.4 points per game on offense while allowing 66.2 per contest. Keita Bates-Diop is averaging 19.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per game to lead Ohio State this season while C.J. Jackson is averaging 13.1 points and 4.4 assists per contest.

Nebraska has won its last two and seven of its last nine entering tonight’s game. The Cornhuskers are now 14-7 overall, 5-3 in the Big Ten and 13-6 against the spread. The Huskers have covered in seven of their last eight lined games as well. Nebraska is averaging 73.4 points per game on offense this year while allowing 69.4 per contest. James Palmer Jr. is leading Nebraska this year with 15.8 points per game while Isaac Copeland is adding 12.3 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest.

Bet on Nebraska vs. Ohio State

Ohio State has won four of its last five meetings with Nebraska, covering the spread in three of the last four meetings as well. Both teams have been very good at the betting window in Big Ten play, but Nebraska’s offense has struggled on the road. The Huskers are averaging just 64 points in road games. While they have covered in their last three on the road, two covers were against struggling Big Ten teams where the Huskers were underdogs. Ohio State is not struggling and the Buckeyes play very well at home They beat both Maryland and Michigan State by at least 16 in Columbus. The public betting is nearly split for this one, but I like Ohio State to take care of business.
