College Basketball Predictions: Will Oklahoma cover vs. Baylor? 1/30/18

College Basketball Predictions: Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma 1/3/18 College Basketball Predictions: Oklahoma State vs. Oklahoma 1/3/18

Oklahoma vs. Baylor Pick

Will Baylor be able to slow down Trae Young and No. 12 Oklahoma when these two meet up tonight at 9PM ET?

According to oddsmakers at YouWager, Oklahoma is favored at home tonight, as the Sooners are getting odds of -6.5 points against Baylor. The over/under total for the game is listed at 153.5 points. Tonight’s contest will take place from Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Oklahoma and will air live on ESPN2.

Baylor has lost three straight coming into tonight’s game, including an 81-60 loss at Florida. The Bears are 12-9 overall, 2-6 in the Big 12 and 7-7 against the spread. Baylor averages 75 points per game this season while holding opponents to 68.2 per contest. Manu Lecomte is leading Baylor with 16.3 points per game while Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. is adding 15 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest.

Oklahoma is coming off an 80-73 loss at Alabama this weekend for its third loss in four games. The Sooners are 15-5 overall, 5-3 in the Big 12 and 8-11 against the spread. Oklahoma is scoring 90.3 points per game this season while allowing 81.4 per contest. Young is averaging 29.6 points and 9.6 assists per game to lead the Sooners, but also averages 5.3 turnovers per contest. Christian James is adding 11.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest for OU.

Bet on Baylor vs. Oklahoma

Baylor has won the last two meetings with Oklahoma, but I like the Sooners at home. Oklahoma has lost three of four, but all losses have come on the road. The Sooners are unbeaten at home this season, including a big win over Kansas by five in their last home game. Baylor has lost all five conference road games as well. The public betting is backing Oklahoma and I think Young will be a little too much for the Bears to contain tonight.
