Texas vs. Kansas State Prediction

After suffering an ugly home loss to Baylor over the weekend, will No. 24 Texas rebound tonight when it visits Kansas State at 7:00PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Realbet.eu, tonight’s game is currently a pick’em while the total sits at 132 points. The Longhorns enter play with a 17-10 record and are 13-13 against the spread, including 8-2 ATS over their last 10 games. As for the Wildcats, they’re 15-12 overall and 14-9 ATS, but just 4-6 against the number in their last 10 games.

Prediction

The Longhorns were simply out-gunned by the Bears on Saturday. Their offense was efficient until the game was already decided in the second half and because they had issues scoring, Baylor was able to race out to a huge halftime lead.

Falling behind tonight shouldn’t be an issue against a Kansas State square that is averaging just 69.3 points per game in conference play. The Wildcats have exceeded 63 points in any of their last three games and won’t keep pace tonight.

But Texas might also suffer a hangover after failing to beat the hated Bears, so scoring might also be an issue for the Longhorns. The under is a perfect 6-0 in the last six meetings between UT and K-State, and is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings in Manhattan. That’s where the value lies tonight.
