Buffaloes stumble versus Bruins

Colorado lost by a count of 70-63 Saturday at home against UCLA to drop to 21-7 overall and 10-5 in Pac-12 Conference play. The Buffaloes were outscored 44-34 in the second half after leading by three at the break. McKinley Wright IV paced Colorado with 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting including 2-of-4 from 3-point distance plus 2-of-2 at the free throw line. He also notched seven rebounds and four assists. Tyler Bey tallied 13 points and six boards off the bench. Evan Battey added 11 points and seven caroms.

Golden Bears struggle at Huskeis

California lost 87-52 Saturday at Washington to fall to 11-16 overall and 5-9 in conference action. The Golden Bears trailed 43-26 at halftime and were unable to rally. Matt Bradley led Cal with 14 points on 3-of-11 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point range plus 6-of-7 at the charity stripe. He also grabbed two rebounds. Grant Anticevich had seven points and six boards. Kuany Kuany added seven points, two caroms, two assists and two blocked shots.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Colorado

The Buffaloes are 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games as a road favorite. Colorado is 1-5 ATS in its last six games overall.

California

The home team is 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings. California is 6-1 ATS in its last seven home games.

Prediction:

Colorado only defeated the Golden Bears by six at home, but with the Buffaloes looking to improve their seed for the NCAA Tournament they cannot afford to stumble here against a weak opponent. The Golden Bears have been blown out fairly frequently this season and I would not be surprised in the slightest if it happens again here.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL DAILY PREDICTION: COLORADO BUFFALOES -8.5
