Simpson Propels Buffs to Round of 64

KJ Simpson chipped in 19 points (6-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals in 39 minutes during Wednesday’s 60-53 win over Boise State. Simpson had his second double-double in four games in what was an overall outstanding fantasy effort, although perhaps an inefficient shooting one. Over his last 10 games, Simpson has posted averages of 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists. He’s one of the elite individual players to watch for in the dance, and his next chance to put his skills on display is an opening-round matchup against Florida on Friday.

Pullin Impresses in Loss

Zyon Pullin amassed 15 points (4-14 FG, 7-11 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 36 minutes during Sunday’s 86-67 loss to Auburn. The senior had an excellent SEC tournament and continued the impressive play after scoring 15 points and seven rebounds during Sunday’s loss to Auburn. Expect Pullin to continue to be a primary scorer for Florida as they will either play Boise State or Colorado in the Round of 64.
