Duke cruised to an 87-75 win Tuesday night at 11th-ranked Michigan State to improve to 8-1 overall and 1-0 on the road. The Blue Devils led 45-29 at halftime and continued to control the action after the break. Vernon Carey Jr. paced Duke with 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting including 1-of-2 from 3-point range plus 9-of-12 at the free throw line. He also racked up 11 rebounds and three blocked shots. College Basketball Betting Trends
Duke
The Blue Devils are 5-14 ATS in their last 19 games following a straight up win. Duke is 1-4 ATS in its last five games as a favorite.
Virginia Tech
The Hokies are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 Friday games. Virginia Tech is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 home games.
Prediction:
This feels as though it could be a letdown spot for the Blue Devils after a major win earlier this week. The Hokies also have a win over MSU to their credit in Maui and possess a solid offense that can keep up with Duke on a good night. Virginia Tech defeated the Blue Devils on at home last season and lost by two in the ACC Tournament. I think the Hokies will show up again tonight as they look to improve to 2-0 in the ACC.
