Duke was surprisingly outed quickly in this year’s tournament, losing in the second round to South Carolina. The Blue Devils had just two seniors, but will lose some key players to the NBA Draft. Grayson Allen and Luke Kennard could be back to lead next year’s squad.
Louisville reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament as well before losing to Michigan. The Cardinals had three seniors on their roster this but both Donovan Mitchell and Deng Adel are testing the NBA waters for now and could be gone as well.
Kentucky reached the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament before falling to eventual champion, UNC, in a buzzer-beater. As usual, the Wildcats were dealing with a lot of freshmen last season and likely will next season too. De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk have already declared for the NBA, but the Cats could have some impressive returning players as well.
Gonzaga and North Carolina are coming off a great NCAA Tournament final on Monday night. Gonzaga was playing for its first championship and came up just short while UNC picked up its sixth NCAA Tournament title.
