Duke Game Notes
Duke’s star player is freshman 7-foot center Kyle Filipowski. Filipowski leads the Blue Devils in scoring at 15.6 points per game, rebounding at 10.4 per game, and blocks at 1.4 per game. The Westtown, NY native has posted three double-doubles in five games this year and he’ll try to make it four on Thursday. His size might pose problems for Oregon State.
Duke’s best backcourt player is junior guard Jeremy Roach. Roach is second on the team in scoring (12.2 points per game) and leads the team in assists (3.6 per game), and steals (1.4 per game). Roach’s experience and veteran savvy could help Duke greatly in this matchup.
Oregon State Game Notes
Oregon State’s leading scorer is sophomore forward Glenn Taylor Jr. Taylor is averaging 16.3 points per game for the Beavers while making shots at an efficient 52.5% clip. Glenn Taylor Jr. is only 6’6” and 200 pounds, so he will have his work cut out for him against Duke’s size and length.
Oregon State’s best guard is 6’2” freshman Jordan Pope. The Oakley, CA native is second on the Beavers in scoring at 15.5 points per game and leads the team in assists with 3.8 per game. Pope can shoot the three (40% this year) and will likely have to hit multiple treys for Oregon State to cover the number Thursday.
Duke vs. Oregon State CBB Betting Trends

Oregon State is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 Thursday games.
Duke vs. Oregon State CBB Prediction:
This is a tough spot for Duke. They’re playing a game on Thanksgiving afternoon in Portland against Oregon State. It’s technically a neutral-site contest, but Oregon State will likely have a bit of a home court advantage. I think this line has been inflated a bit because of Oregon State’s last game. The Beavers lost to Portland State this past Saturday 79-66. I think that game was an early season blip and that Oregon State should be able to stave off a blowout and cover the number in their home state in this game. I’ll take the Beavers and the points.
