(The Spread) – Two mid-majors enjoying storybook tournament runs and two squad that are perennial powers in the world of college basketball comprise this year’s Final Four which tips off Saturday evening.

In the first NCAA Tournament semifinal at 6:09PM EST, the eight-seeded Butler Bulldogs will attempt to make their second consecutive championship game but have this year’s Cinderella story in the Virginia Commonwealth Rams standing in their way.
Oddsmakers and online sports book Bodog.com have made Butler a 2.5-point favorite, while the over-under in the contest has been set at 134.
Butler (27-9) reached the semifinals by topping Florida 74-71 in overtime, while Virginia Commonwealth (28-11) shocked the world and the Kansas Jayhawks by upending the top seed 71-61.
Jamie Skeen poured in 26 points to go with 10 rebounds for the Rams in the victory over Kansas, while Butler’s Shelvin Mack scored 27 points including five in overtime against Florida.
According to latest college basketball trends, Butler is 9-0 ATS in all neutral court games this season. Virginia Commonwealth is 11-4 ATS as an underdog this season. Butler is 9-1 ATS in NCAA tournament games over the last two seasons. Virginia Commonwealth is 6-0 ATS in NCAA tournament games over the last three seasons.
On the other side of the semifinals, third-seeded Connecticut (30-9) squares off with fourth-seeded Kentucky (29-8) at approximately 8:49PM EST. Kentucky is a 2.5-point favorite and the over-under is set at 140.
