GAINESVILLE, FL (TheSpread) – Florida suffered a setback this week as it discovered one of its veteran players will miss next season.
Guard DeVon Walker is the player expected to miss all of next season following a torn ACL in his right knee. Walker suffered the injury on Friday.
The junior played in 35 games last season for Florida, starting seven times. He averaged just 2.4 points and 1.2 rebounds per game last season, but was expected to see an increased role in play with Scottie Wilbekin graduating.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Florida has been given 16/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament next season. Oddsmakers see Kentucky as the favorite with 9/2 odds while Duke has 10/1 odds.
