Seminoles take down Yellow Jackets
Florida State won its 15th straight home game Tuesday night with a 70-58 victory over Georgia Tech to improve to 12-2 overall and 2-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Seminoles outscored the Yellow Jackets 38-29 in the second half to pull away. Devin Vassell led FSU with 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance. He also registered nine rebounds and two steals. Patrick Williams added 12 points, four boards and two blocked shots off the bench.
Cardinals fall in OT
Louisville lost 78-70 in overtime last Saturday at rival Kentucky to drop to 11-2 overall and 1-1 on the road. The Cardinals outscored the Wildcats 37-29 in the second half, but were then outscored 17-9 in the extra session to lead to the defeat. Steven Enoch paced Louisville with 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting including 1-of-4 from 3-point range plus 1-of-1 at the charity stripe. He also grabbed five rebounds. Dwayne Sutton accumulated 14 points and 10 boards. Lamarr Kimble added 10 points, four assists and two steals off the bench.
College Basketball Betting Trends
Florida State
The Seminoles are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games. Florida State is 2-7 ATS in its last nine Saturday games.
Louisville
The Cardinals are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall. Louisville is 2-5 ATS in its last seven Saturday games.
Prediction:
Both of these squads are having strong starts to the season, but I like the Cardinals to bounce back at home in this spot. With a whole week to prepare and also being a little salty about letting a win slip away at Kentucky, expect Louisville to come out firing on all cylinders here. The Cardinals have a veteran roster that is strong in all areas and they have played the tougher schedule as of late.
