According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Butler is favored at home today, as the Bulldogs are getting odds of -3.5 points against Xavier. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 152.5 points.
Xavier is 21-3 on the season, 9-3 in the Big East, 6-2 on the road and 14-10 against the spread. Butler is 17-7 on the season, 6-6 in the Big East, 10-2 at home and 11-12-1 against the spread. Xavier has won five of the last six in this series and covered the spread in eight of the last nine encounters.
Aside from the dominance in the series, Xavier has been pretty solid at covering on the road this season, going 5-3 ATS. Butler is on a nice three-game win streak, but the Musketeers are coming off a loss and should be plenty motivated on the road.
