Efton Reid (illness) posted 16 points (8-8 FG) and two rebounds across 19 minutes during Wednesday’s 120-42 win over Eastern Oregon. Reid knocked down 8-of-8 shots off the bench in his return on Wednesday. The 7-foot sophomore who missed last Tuesday’s game due to illness was able to play an expanded role in a blowout over Eastern Oregon. Reid, who has averaged two points per game outside of this appearance, will likely remain a depth piece for the Bulldogs moving forward.
BYU Cougars DFS Spin
Noah Waterman will not start Saturday against San Diego, Greg Wrubell of BYU Athletics reports. Waterman has started all but one of the past 12 games for BYU, so it’s unclear if he’ll be sitting out with injury or if he’s just been moved to a role off the bench Saturday. The 6-foot-11 junior has averaged 6.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists across 18 contests this season. In his stead, 6-foot-5 guard Spencer Johnson will move into the starting five versus San Diego.
