In dire need of a win, the Spartans (17-4, 4-4 Big Ten) topped Maryland at home last Saturday, but that doesn’t mean that MSU has fixed all of its problems. Tonight the Spartans go on the road to face Northwestern (15-6, 3-5), who is on its own three-game losing streak.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Michigan State is favored on the road tonight, as the Spartans are getting odds of -6.5 points against Northwestern. The over/under total for the game has been set at 137 points.
Though MSU has been shaky, the Spartans have performed well after a win, going 9-6 against the spread. However, MSU is just 2-3 ATS on the road this season, but Northwestern is 4-6 ATS at home. The Spartans have won six straight meetings with Northwestern and are 4-1 ATS in the last five games of this series. They have also covered in two straight trips to Evanston.
