Oklahoma State adds Hickey
STILLWATER, OK (TheSpread) – Oklahoma State picked up a good role player for next season, adding LSU transfer Anthony Hickey to the roster.
Last season Hickey averaged 8.4 points, 3.7 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game as a junior. He also had a team-best 62 steals. The 5-11 guard averaged a career-best 11.2 points per game as a sophomore for the Tigers.
Hickey will be available next season for Oklahoma State, which will help alleviate some of the loss suffered by Marcus Smart leaving for the NBA. The Cowboys reached the NCAA Tournament last season despite an 8-10 Big 12 record, as it went 21-13 on the year.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Oklahoma State has been given 100/1 odds to win the NCAA Tournament next season. Oddsmakers see Kentucky as the favorite with 5/1 odds while Arizona, Duke, North Carolina and Wisconsin each have 12/1 odds.
