Illinois vs. Oregon CBB Prediction:
Oregon has long been one of the better home teams in college basketball over the past decade. The Ducks are 98-76-1 ATS at home since the start of the 2014 season. That’s a cover rate of 56.3%. Oregon is even better as a home favorite over that stretch. Since the beginning of the 2014 campaign, the Ducks are 93-71-1 ATS, which is a cover rate of 56.7%.
This game will be part of a two-game West Coast swing for Illinois. They’ll play at Oregon on January 2nd and then play at Washington on January 5th. They might be lucky to split those two games. The Fighting Illini haven’t played a true road game since December 6th. They lost at Northwestern in overtime 70-66 as 3-point favorites. They’ll have their hands full over the next few days, and I think they will lose outright by at least 5 points on Thursday night. I’m laying the points with the Ducks at home in this one.
