Newton logs just four minutes vs. Illinois

Jakai Newton (lower body) logged one rebound in four minutes during Tuesday’s 94-69 loss to Illinois. Newton was questionable leading up to the matchup as he had been dealing with injury. The freshman guard came off the bench for the first time in eight games.

Johnson misses another game

Meechie Johnson (personal) will miss another game as Ohio State faces Wisconsin in the Kohl Center, per the Big Ten injury report. Johnson will miss his seventh straight game. The guard still has no timeframe for a potential return, but his next chance to play will come on Jan. 17 against Indiana.
